Overview The Vandal Fitness Challenge is a 10 week fitness challenge for current UI students. A participant is initially tested in the first week of the challenge. The testing consists of 5 basic fitness tests; box jumps, pushups, situps, plank time, and body fat percentage. After the first week of initial testing, each participant has 8 weeks to train and diet before the final testing. The final testing is identical to the initial testing. For different fitness aspirations, each participant can choose which category they would like to enter. The two categories are “Average Joe” and “All Around Athlete” with Men and Women in separate divisions. The “Average Joe” category is based on improvement. Scoring will be based on the improvement of the participant from initial testing to final testing with regard to the fitness tests. The “All Around Athlete” category is based on performance. Scoring will be based on the best fitness tests for each participant, regardless if it was the initial or final test.
