Campus Kitchens

Campus Kitchens is a nation-wide program with the goal of utilizing surplus food from campus dining and providing meals for those in need.  In its inaugural year at the University of Idaho, Campus Kitchens is partnering with our campus food provider, Sodexho, to do just this. The food comes from places like Bob’s and the 6th Street Marketplace and is delivered to Troy Lutheran Church just ten miles west of Moscow. At this time, it requires about eight volunteers to prepare and serve the meal to roughly 60-70 guests.

Our first delivery was September 10th and was a huge success. Our hope is that the program will grow in awareness and size and will soon be able to accommodate multiple delivery locations within the Palouse.  Please contact April Neubauer if you are interested in volunteering one of the nights or if you would like to sign up your organization or living group to sponsor a night.
